Gave Up Everything for Gau Seva — Now She’s Struggling to Keep Them Safe From the Rain and Cold
“In Sawan, We Worship the Cow — But They Are Still Suffering in the Cold”
In a quiet village far from the noise of the world, one woman gave up comfort, family, and city life to dedicate her entire existence to Gau Seva — serving abandoned, injured, and hungry cows.
Divine Journey Began with a Darshan… and a Rescue
In 2010, during the holy month of Sawan, Meena Devi was on her way for darshan when she witnessed a heartbreaking sight — cows trapped in ice, shivering and struggling in the freezing Himalayan cold. While most people walked past, she stopped.
That day, she rescued those helpless cows with her bare hands. With no land or support, she rented a small shelter and began caring for every abandoned cow and bull she could find.
Over a decade later, she has completely devoted her life to caring for dozens of injured, elderly, and abandoned cows in her humble Gaushala near Shimla.
But Now, She Needs Your Help
Despite her devotion, Meena Devi struggles every day to protect her cows from harsh weather, hunger, and illness. Together, with your support through the Ram Rajya Foundation, we can help her continue this sacred mission.
Your contribution will provide:
- A proper tin shed to protect cows from rain and heat
- Construction material for basic shelter and fencing
- Daily green grass and nutritious food for 100+ cows
- Medical care for sick, injured, and elderly cows
